MONDAY JIVE CLASS SCHEDULE

Doors open from 8.10 pm
8.15 to 8.55 pm Essential Jive
8.55 to 9.10 pm Social Practice and a Stroll
9.10 to 10.00 pm Intermediate Jive

Start with Essential Jive and then add more as you feel ready to progress.

Get started with started with the fundamentals of authentic Jive.  Learn to dance through a whole track.  Then add some extra variety and cool ideas as you progress.

Essential Jive from 8.15: all that you need in order to enjoy the dance.  Book a start date to begin your journey or use the application form to contact us.

Intermediate Jive from 9.10: more ideas to keep it fresh.  Add this when you are ready.

PARTNERS?

We recognise that some dancers will not want to mix with a variety of partners.  If you book with a partner then you can stay together throughout the class - it's your choice. 

If you do not have a partner then we do offer spaces for leaders or followers, while looking for a good balance between the numbers of each: it's a great way to make new friends.  Experienced dancers sometimes choose to experience both roles.

If you are an experienced dancer and want to go beyond Essential JIve then use the application form and we can discuss when and how to join us.

WELCOME OFFER for those who can commit to five weeks.
Secure a 5-week block of Essential Jive (8.15 to 8.55 plus some practice time) for just £30 - subject to availability and always booked by pre-payment using the link below which takes you to our shop.

Each week includes some revision of the previous week.

£8 per week 8.15 to 9.10 - apply to arrange your start date.

£10 per week 8.15 up to 10.00 when you are ready to stay for longer.

We accept cash and contactless / card payments for pay-as-you-go.  Pre-payment for convenience may be available for regular attendees,

Venue Details

These classes are held at St Andrew's Church Hall, Albert Rd, Caversham, Reading between RG4 7AW and RG4 7PL.  Located at the junction with Harrogate Rd which leads to the A4074 Woodcote Rd to Wallingford.  This is a spacious hall with a wooden floor and on-site parking.  SEE MAP BELOW. 
(NOTE: On election nights we move to an alternate hall just a few minutes away.)
